Day 28: Introducing... Venus de Milo!
Today was a busy day at work and we're having guests to dinner so I didn't have much time to put into my post today. Being the nice guy I am I didn't want to leave you with another boring generic sketch. So in order to bring a little controversy to this blog I'm doing a drawing of everyone's least favorite turtle, Mei Pieh Chi, or Venus de Milo if you prefer.
I personally didn't hate Venus or the Next Mutation TV series, but I think I'm probably the exception. So everyone go forth and flame me for posting Venus on a blog about the Ninja Turtles.

I'm a bit lost...I don't remember any turtle statues in ancient Greece, but I was never that good with history. Please enlighten me.
ReplyDeleteOk so I know I already commented on this one but it's the most recent I think and I feel it's important that you know I have spent almost 2 hours now reading(and commenting on) your turtle blogs. It took so long because I had to stop to watch Wilfred. Sorry. Anyway, start to finish...wow I absolutely love your stories and I hope you keep it up! If you need ideas I have a few. For example, I always wondered what it would be like if the turtles got a pet. Not a turtle obviously but something annoying. Also I didn't keep up with the originals so if that has already happened, sorry.
ReplyDeleteHaha, OK, to answer your first question, Venus is from a live action show called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. She got separated from the others after they were exposed to the mutagen, but before they changed. She made her way to Chinatown and was taken back to China by some shinobi warrior guy. Through a series of ridiculous events she came back to New York and found the turtles. She got the name Venus because during some fight the arms got knocked off of a statue in the park and she took it home to their sewer lair. Supposedly this was to imitate the others' names even though Venus de Milo was a work of art, not an artist. It's all pretty stupid, but there you are.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I'm glad you've enjoyed my blog. I have no problem with you stopping to watch Wilfred. We had friends over and didn't get to watch last night's yet but I do love that show. I don't remember them having any pets, at least not for any length of time. I'll file that one away and pull it out some day when I need inspiration. I'm always willing to accept new ideas.
